Job overview

We are looking for a diligent individual to join a dedicated team of staff who demonstrate integrity, imagination, and energy in this rewarding role. We are looking for someone who can effectively support selected students through individually tailored one-on-one math tutoring. 


We encourage people to apply if you:

• Are considering a career in teaching Maths or another relevant subject and wish to gain experience

• Are looking to return to teaching Maths after a break

• hold an AS/A level Maths

• Are able to demonstrate that they can work with individual students to progress their learning in Maths, or

• Have subject specific knowledge of Maths at Key stage 4.


You will join a well-established team of outstanding subject specialists led by a very strong Curriculum Director. The successful applicant will be required to work across the maths curriculum to support students with varying needs in small groups (2-4) or in a 1-2-1 setting

Doncaster UTC will join the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership trust and will specialise in Engineering and Creative & Digital Technologies, providing a high-quality curriculum in co-operation with industry partners and is due to open Years 9 and 12 in September 2020. The school will work closely with a number of external bodies such as the University of Sheffield, Polypipe and VolkerRail. This is intended to ensure that students are able to maximise their employability and relevance in the modern workplace. Doncaster UTC will still offer a strong wider curriculum with subjects such as Geography and Business Studies.
