Location: United Learning, Northern England (the office base is Salford but our schools are spread across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire & Carlisle)
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits
Working collaboratively with twelve schools (with more expansion likely) you will make a difference to thousands of students' lives. Focusing on the quality of teaching and learning from KS3 up to KS5, you will play a vital role in helping departments to build capacity and make sustainable improvements.
You will be a key figure in the implementation of a KS3 mastery curriculum based on mastery principles. Carefully diagnosing strengths and weaknesses, you will work closely with subject leaders and teachers to help them follow best practice and achieve their development goals.
To join us, you will need proven experience of teaching Maths, coaching teachers and shaping strategies for improving outcomes in schools at KS3, 4 and ideally 5. Your outstanding subject knowledge is matched by your passion and enthusiasm for communicating it to others. Committed to driving up standards of achievement, you will bring to the role an up-to-date knowledge of the maths curriculum, twinned with exceptional relationship building and influencing skills.
As Maths Subject Advisor to our growing portfolio of Secondary Academies in the North of England, you will embody our ethos of bringing out 'the best in everyone.' Leading maths-specific improvement work, you will support departments to raise standards and improve progress and attainment.
United Learning is a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.
As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
