This is an exciting and rare chance to join a school from the very beginning of its journey and play a pivotal role in its success and development, laying the path for future years. As the Maths Lead, you will have whole-academy responsibility for this subject area and will develop and review the Maths curriculum on offer at Snowfields Academy. The candidate will be responsible for leading Maths across both Snowfields campuses (located in Bearsted and Cranbrook). As such the role will involve teaching and leading across and travel between both sites.

Our successful candidate will have experience delivering Maths at GCSE and also other qualifications such as Entry Level 1 and 2, and Level 1 and 2 Functional Skills to ensure our students are able to access a variety of options.

Our teaching staff at Snowfields Academy will provide outstanding educational opportunities for all of our pupils in order to ensure every student reaches their full potential. We are looking for outstanding practitioners who are creative and imaginative teachers with the ability to plan highly effective learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students. Excellent classroom management skills and high expectations of all pupils are essential as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and new assessment framework. As a specialist ASD provision we will be looking for teachers who have a real passion for, and understanding of, meeting the complex and holistic needs of young people with ASD.

This is a permanent role offering MPS/UPS + TLR and SEN Allowance, commensurate with experience.
