The School

Merchants’ Academy is a 3-18 Academy sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol. This is an exciting time to join us as the Academy grows and standards rise. The Academy is well resourced and staff and their development is a priority. About Merchants' Academy - Secondary

Merchants’ Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 academy with sixth form, situated in the City of Bristol. The secondary academy, which is part of an all-through school for children from Reception to Sixth Form, is sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol. There are 1,045 students on the school roll, of whom 87 students are in the sixth form.

Teaching and achievement are good, and the curriculum gives students a wide range of choice and opportunity. Teaching in most subjects is good with some that is outstanding.
