An exciting opportunity to join a new school that opened in September 2016 and will move into a new, purpose built school in September 2018.  Applications are invited from high quality candidates to be a Lead Teacher of Mathematics at Venturers’ Academy (ages 4-16).  We are seeking an inspirational teacher to provide high quality teaching to secondary and upper primary age children who have an autism spectrum condition.

Candidates for this post should be:

• inspiring and able to motivate and challenge students to make rapid progress. 

• able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills. 

• empathetic, emotionally intelligent and optimistic.  

You will be expected to:  

• plan, implement and evaluate the teaching and learning for a class of students across the curriculum to ensure progress. 

• manage the TA support in the class room to ensure that students’ make maximum progress.  

• be able to contribute a curriculum subject lead. 

• have a secure knowledge of ASC and be able to implement appropriate ASC strategies and behaviour programmes.
