Job overview

About Us

AIM North London is an 11-19 mixed, multi-cultural Academy in Enfield. We have just over 600 students, with a proportion of students eligible for the pupil premium significantly higher than the national average.

AIM North London has been a part of AIM Academies Trust since 2019 and the school has been on an incredible journey over the last four years. We are delighted that our first three sets of published GCSE outcomes in the Summers of 2022, 23 and 24 make us the most improved school in North London.

We are delighted with the progress that we have made over the last four and a half years, and are looking forward to building on our success in order to become a truly transformational school for our community. We are excited for you to join us on our journey.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher. You would be responsible for developing a knowledge-rich curriculum, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and monitoring students’ progress. This post is pivotal to the Academy’s continuing drive to raise attainment for all our children.

The Maths Teacher will need to be a dedicated individual, happy to contribute not to just the students learning but the schools’ environment as a whole. With experience in your subject specialist area, an excellent teaching background and strong leadership skills, you are ready to take on a role that will have a significant impact on learning. For the right candidate, this role can also include a leadership responsibility for an area of curriculum within the department. This role is open to ECTs as well as qualified teachers.

Our mission is to develop the leadership potential in our staff and students. We want to be at the forefront of developing the next generation of national school leaders. We can help prepare you for a future senior leadership position, investing in your development through regular coaching and a wide range of professional development opportunities.

Why work at AIM North London?

Our mission is to develop the leadership potential of both our students and staff. We want to be at the forefront of developing the next generation of national school leaders. We offer exceptional professional development opportunities including weekly coaching (our coaching program has been established and led by the founder of Steplab, Josh Goodrich), weekly line management and a range of external opportunities such as the NPQSL. We are also proud to have been one of the first partner schools working with The Institute for Teaching on the Masters in Expert Teaching and have a close relationship with the Ambition School Leadership Program.

We have a commitment to engage in the latest educational research and this informs all aspects of the Academy, everything from curriculum design to our behaviour systems and finally, we have a focus on reducing workload by having centralised behaviour systems, and a reasonable assessment and feedback policy.
