Permanent position 0.6 (Wednesday to Friday)

We seek to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our Maths Faculty. The successful applicant will be instrumental in contributing towards the continued development of our faculty as we strive for excellence. The successful applicant will be part of a team that ensures high quality first teaching and targeted student intervention programmes which lead to excellent student progress. This post would be ideal for either a strong ambitious and aspiring teacher or a qualified and experienced teacher. The faculty is a strength of the school and there is real expertise and passion within the area. The faculty work well as a team and can offer a supportive and happy environment that both staff and students enjoy.

Sanders Draper is part of the Success for All Educational Trust along with The Redden Court School, The Royal Liberty School and Rise Park Primaries. As an employee, you will be covered by our excellent well-being support and medical cover programme through the School Advisory Service (SAS). Sanders Draper is a small comprehensive, 11-16 school, located in Hornchurch and rich in history. As a teacher of Maths you will:

  • Be accountable for the standards attained by all students within your lessons and set high standards of expectations in class
  • Plan and apply strategies/interventions for rapid progress and run extra-curricular opportunities for students
  • Be able to motivate students and achieve excellent results, showing excellent organisational and ICT skills;
  • Have an awareness of effective assessment and use of data to track student progress;
  • Have the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and of course have a passion for the subject and an ability to share this.
