Meoncross School is a family community where high academic achievement, optimism and kindness stand shoulder to shoulder with adventurous opportunities.

This co-educational independent school takes pupils aged 2½ to 16 years on a clear pathway to success, culminating in GCSE examinations, which prepare them for the next stage of their lives.

Meoncross has achieved excellent GCSE results in 2024, outperforming schools nationally in every category most notably with 34% of their grades at 7-9, compared to a national average of 22%, and an impressive 89% of students achieving a pass rate at grade 4 and above, compared to a national average of 68%.

Meoncross offers an exceptional academic journey beginning in Nursery, where pupils receive expert tuition in French, Music, Ballet, P.E and Performing Arts. The school’s location on the south coast of Hampshire provides all year groups with access to an enriched outdoor learning programme, engaging children with their natural surroundings and resources at Beach School and beyond.

In smaller, focused classes our engaging and immersive learning experiences build on pupils’ confidence and strengths throughout the school, allowing them to develop a lifelong love of learning.

Alongside their learning, the school’s excellent pastoral care and holistic approach means each child receives the individual attention they need to be the best version of themselves.

Teachers within their exceptional Modern Foreign Languages department are all dual linguists and have lived and worked abroad, providing in-depth specialist subject knowledge to Meoncross pupils right from the start.

Within a wide offer across the curriculum, Head Mrs Ebery has also announced the launch of two new GCSE options at Meoncross for 2024-25 – GCSE Food Technology and Psychology, backed by investment in a newly refurbished Home Economics room where a wide range of pupils can learn about healthy eating in a practical setting.

Ultimately, Meoncross pupils learn how to be dynamic and resilient learners, independently challenging themselves, whilst listening and caring for others. This prepares them to be fully-rounded individuals, ready for a full life in a constantly evolving world.
