Maths Teacher

Manningtree High School is a successful, semi rural secondary school with a strong community feel. We are a mixed, fully comprehensive school serving the local area and work closely with primary and post-16 partners as well as other local secondary schools. The school is set in a pleasant rural location only 10 miles from the centre of Colchester and close to the Suffolk border. We currently have around 880 11-16 students on roll and are oversubscribed.   

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of maths from September 2022 or as soon as possible.  This is an excellent career opportunity for a strong classroom teacher to work within a dynamic department.  The successful candidate will be passionate about mathematical learning and will have a strong commitment to ensuring that every child achieves the highest possible academic standards. We participate in national maths challenge competitions. 

Manningtree High School is an ambitious school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We are constantly looking to further improve the performance of our students and develop our staff. Our examination results in maths are a strength. 

The school holds academy status and offers an excellent induction and ongoing staff development. We are part of Alpha Multi Academy Trust which has a sixth form provision. Our students are proud of their school.
