Alderman Peel High School is an 11 – 16 school situated in North Norfolk. As the smallest high school in Norfolk offering specialised individual support with a very low student/teacher ratio.

Ranked first in Norfolk and 29th nationally for our three year improvement in five A* - C including English and Maths in the 2011 league tables.

The percentage of students going on to education or employment with training is among the highest in Norfolk – consistently above 95%, zero NEET for the last three years.

APHS is a specialist sports college.  This designation has brought added staffing, resources and opportunities to the school.

APHS benefits from a very good level of resourcing including a fitness suite, swimming pool, gym, extensive fields, three computer suites, a large number of laptops available to students, interactive whiteboards and a large hall which is used extensively by the community for performances.

APHS holds the full award from the British Council as an International School.

APHS works closely with the Rural Norfolk Federation to give students opportunities they would not have if they were part of one school acting alone.  We can offer a personalised service to our students who can have access to a mix of the more typical as well as the more unusual activities:  university visits, trips abroad, Wave Radio (the school has its very own radio station) and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

APHS believes in giving young people responsibility.  We have a thriving Student Council and a range of posts for the students:  Head Boy and Head Girl, House Captains, Games Captains, Peer Mentors, Sports Leaders, Ambassadors, Energy Monitors and Reading Buddies.  Because of our students’ work for the community the school has been awarded the Princess Diana Memorial Silver Award.

Alderman Peel High School offers all staff a warm welcome within a very supportive and committed team of staff.
