British International School of Ljubljana (BISL) (http://www.britishschool.si/) is a growing British-style school serving students aged between 3 and 18 from over 30 nationalities in the capital of beautiful Slovenia, Europe’s “hidden jewel”. About the Opportunity
The role is to teach and lead Maths across our Secondary school. Our Secondary Teachers are responsible for inspiring and enthusing students in their development of knowledge and skills within Key Stage 3/4/5 and in their preparation for IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, able to demonstrate a proven commitment to the highest standards of teaching and learning and student achievement; someone with drive and passion who believes in creating a unique, inspiring and outstanding place for learning, able to excite and challenge students of all abilities to make great progress. Applicants should also be prepared to contribute to the wider community aspect of school life, which is expected of every member of the teaching staff.
Applicants must have a relevant degree, teaching qualification and experience of successfully teaching Maths across Key Stage 3/4/5 and/or IGCSE. Experience of working with EAL learners from a variety of cultures will be an advantage.
Applications from native-level speakers of English will be preferred. Because of difficulties in obtaining a visa and residency, it may not be possible to consider applicants from nationalities outside of the UK and Europe.
