Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket (SSHL) is one of Sweden’s most renowned schools, with its historical roots dating back to the 1920s, located just north of Stockholm. Today the school has about 700 students, divided between day students and boarders with representation from around fortyfive different countries. Working very much within a Swedish conception of international education, SSHL offers students two clear routes through the school; via the IB MYP and DP programme, as well as through the Swedish National Curriculum from Year 7 upwards.
For the upcoming academic year, SSHL is seeking applications for a Math teacher (100%) - the role will involve working with students who are following the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
Applicants should have the capacity to teach in both programmes and be interested in developing coherency between the two. While experience of working with the IB is prefered, it is not essential.
Ideally, you will hold qualified teacher status or similar and have experience working in an independent or international school setting. As a person you will be resilient, flexible and structured. You will be able to develop positive relationships with all members of the school community and you will be committed to delivering a high quality educational experience. The desire to take responsibility and the capacity to adopt a solution-oriented approach to your work is vital, as is the ability to manage time effectively.
The closing date for the application is April 26 2017, but please note that candidates of interest may be contacted and interviewed prior to the closing date. The position is available from August 9th 2017.

Particular emphasis is then placed on appropriate individual working methods and effective study techniques.
