Job overview
Looking for a teaching role that truly makes a difference?
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our small, supportive team in a truly unique farm-based learning environment.
Our school is a small independent SEND provision for approximately 60 students, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We specialise in supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, highly personalised approach to education.
Set within a working farm, our provision uses animals-including horses and small animals-as part of a therapeutic approach to help regulate emotions, build confidence, and re-engage students with learning. This distinctive setting plays a key role in supporting students’ wellbeing alongside their academic progress.
The successful candidate will teach small groups of up to five students per class, allowing for meaningful relationships, tailored teaching, and high levels of individual support. You will work closely with a committed and experienced Maths team to deliver an engaging, relevant curriculum that supports students to achieve the best possible outcomes both academically and personally.
The ideal candidate will have experience of, or a strong interest in, working with students with SEMH needs and will demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a trauma‑informed approach to teaching. Strong communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships, and a commitment to inclusive practice are essential.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a forward‑thinking school where creativity, teamwork, and student wellbeing sit at the heart of everything we do.
