Trinity MAT, based in Halifax, is the home of White Rose Maths and West Yorkshire Maths Hub. Our work has national acclaim and materials produced by the team are used by schools across the country. You may have even used them yourself!
We are now seeking passionate and inspirational Maths Teachers to join us across our three secondary academies.
Trinity Academy Halifax
Trinity Academy is the flagship school in Trinity Multi-Academy Trust. It opened in 2010 and since then has secured two Ofsted ‘outstanding’ judgements. Our record-breaking GCSE results are evidence of the high academic achievements of our students. Our Progress 8 score place us consistently in the top 5% of all schools nationally (+0.67 in 2017 and +0.59 in 2018).
Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge
Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge joined the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust in October 2018. Working closely with outstanding leaders from across the trust, the academy is characterised by its high aspirations and ambitions. GCSE results for 2018 were a validation of the work we had undertaken to transform the academy. Our Progress 8 outcome was improved by +0.92 in our first year in the trust (from -0.47 in 2017 to +0.45 in 2018). These results mean the academy is now recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country.
Cathedral Academy
Cathedral Academy formally joined Trinity Multi-Academy Trust in March 2018. Working closely with outstanding leaders from across the trust, the leadership team has embedded robust, clear systems and support to ensure that teachers can focus on teaching and learning. There has been significant improvement over the last two years and the academy is now the highest performing academy in Wakefield. Progress 8 outcomes stand at and +0.66 (2018) and +0.54 (2017), which means we have been ranked in the top 10% nationally for the past two years.

Trinity Multi Academy Trust is a Diocesan multi academy trust that is open to schools of all faiths and none. The trust is committed to working within a respectful and compassionate environment and exists to serve the students in its care. In 2010, when Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) opened in Calderdale, the plan was to address a decade of underperformance at secondary school level. Since then the academy has been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice. It has also established Trinity Institute of Education (formerly Trinity Teaching School Alliance) and the West Yorkshire Maths Hub, both of which have helped to raise pupil performance in hundreds of schools across the country.
In 2015 Trinity MAT was established. It now contains ten academies covering from nursery stage through to post-16, including two brand new secondary schools which opened in September 2021. The MAT has seen numerous educational changes but one thing has remained constant; we know what works, and so we have formed a group of like-minded schools to make a positive difference on a wider scale.
