Maths Tutor

Able Tutors is a leading tutoring agency based in London. At the moment we are looking for experienced tutors to teach GCSE Maths, in-person roles in Islington, London

This is a face-to-face position and will involve you teaching on a 1-to-1 basis.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least one year of experience teaching Maths from the UK National Curriculum

• Extensive knowledge of current GCSE Curriculum requirements.

• Must hold an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to undergo one).

• able to travel to Islington, London

• have a relevant degree

• enhanced DBS clearance within the last 3 years

• be able to work during and/or after school hours and/or at weekends

• Be able to provide two references from recent employers or clients (e.g., parents of tutees or school leadership) who can verify your teaching/tutoring experience.

• The pay is dependent on qualifications and level of tuition required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans for GCSE English students.

• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment to encourage student participation.

• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.

• Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices to enhance teaching methods.
