The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for 11 – 18 year olds, set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the River Stour.

The Royal Hospital School has the following vacancy required for 1 January 2018:

FULL OR PART TIME MATRON

Nelson House

We are seeking to appoint a matron to assist in the provision of a high level of pastoral care for approximately 120 Year 13 pupils in a co-educational day and boarding house. (Nelson). Residential accommodation may be available on site for a full time appointment.

The successful applicant will have an excellent pastoral understanding of the needs of pupils in the relevant age group, the ability to liaise closely with parents, and experience of administration and domestic organisation.

This is a term time position only; there is a possibility for this role to be either full or part time and hours will be negotiated with the successful candidates. Matrons work on Saturdays, and are also expected to assist with occasional evening social functions and with our formal events on five Sundays per year.
