We are now looking to recruit innovative and creative Engineers who possess excellent industry experience and knowledge. Our Mechanical Engineering Division delivers both full and part-time courses across a range of levels and also delivers professional updates to meet employer needs.  

We strive to challenge and inspire students within our Centre of Excellence for Engineering, enjoying state of the art industry recognised equipment and resources.  

The College welcomes applications from teachers and experienced industry professionals and will support applicants in gaining a recognised teaching qualification if required.

Wigan and Leigh College is a further education college in Wigan, Greater Manchester, which has been providing education and training locally for more than 150 years. It employs around 1,000 staff and has a student roll of about 17,000. Further education students can choose the A-level professional honours programme or vocational qualifications such as BTECs. An expanding higher education portfolio of foundation degrees, top-up degrees, higher nationals and certificates is available to adult students of all ages, both full-time and part-time. 

Wigan and Leigh College operates from several sites across the borough: the Parson’s Walk Centre, School for the Arts and Pagefield Centre are in Wigan, close to the town centre. The Image Centre and Leigh College are close to the town centre of Leigh.
