Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Media Technician to support Media students and staff within our School of Science, IT and Media.  Based at our Harrow-on-the-Hill Campus, the Media Department delivers three UAL Media provisions, is well facilitated with various properties such as PC workrooms with professional/industry standard software (Adobe CC / Office 2016), dedicated Editing Suite (with Adobe Premiere & Final Cut Pro Editing software), devoted Studio space with Green-Screen and Photography facilities and various specialist Media hardware, such as Digital Cameras, Camera supports and Audio/Lighting kits.

 

The main responsibilities of the post include maintenance of all Media workrooms and hardware/equipment, facilitating our Media learners with their coursework by supporting them with their practical productions, ensuring that equipment is serviced and repaired where necessary and tracking equipment usage, aiding staff with extra technical support during teaching sessions.    


You should possess a minimum of Level 4 qualification in Media or Creative related subject area and have good working knowledge of using/operating various Media production hardware and software (both PC/Mac platforms). Experience in using Editing Software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro) is essential.  You should also be well-organised with good communication skills and be able to work flexibly when required.
