The role

We are looking to appoint a talented Medical Officer to join KAA with immediate effect . The successful candidate will be joining a committed team of professionals in providing day to day medical assistance to staff and students as well as leading on whole school first aid provision.  Our academy is a vibrant and exciting place to work and you will be fulfilling an important role within our structure, working collaboratively with staff and students on various issues relating to medical compliance and intervention.  

 We are hoping to attract candidates how have experience  in a similar role or setting and are looking for a new and exciting challenge in a large London-based academy.  Interested candidates may also have transferrable medical experience from other industries who want a new challenge.  Although you don't need to have worked as a Medical Officer in a school before, being familiar with an educational setting and/or having the confidence to interact with our diverse student body is advantageous.  

Above all else though, the successful candidate will be a competent first aider, a caring and empathetic person and have the ability to act professionally and appropriately in challenging situations.  

The role is being offered on a 42-week contract (term time only plus 3 additional weeks).
