Vision for Education are actively recruiting for a school in Leeds that caters for pupils in Key stage 3 and 4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. School are requiring support workers to work with their pupils on a full time basis to support them with their mental health, behaviour and learning within school. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils in lessons, at break time and on trips to develop their emotional and social intelligence as well as their academic attainment. This will be achieved by working with multi-disciplinary teams and senior leadership teams within school and by working closely to the individual pupils EHCP plans. If you think you have transferable skills from working with vulnerable children in environments such as Residential Care, Youth Work or Youth Offending Services for example, then I encourage you to apply as your skills are in demand for this role. The Successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Must be looking for a full time permanent job
  • Have experience working with SEMH issues or challenging behaviour in a similar setting
  • Must have an unconditional and unwavering commitment to help the most vulnerable young people in society
  • Up to date CV demonstrating relevant sector experience

The following attributes are desirable but not essential:

  • Child workforce DBS on the Update service
  • In date Team Teach Training and Certificate
  • Recent experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit or Residential care setting
