Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative teacher of MFL who has high expectations of all pupils and wants to make a real impact on teaching and learning in our already highly successful and thriving MFL Department. We currently offer both Spanish and French at KS3 and widen our offer to Spanish, French and German at KS4.

We are looking for someone who is committed to securing high standards of teaching and learning in order to continue to raise academic achievement, and who will make a significant contribution to extra-curricular activities.  Thorough knowledge of any recent changes to the MFL curriculum is essential and the ideal candidate should be confident with teaching Spanish up to KS4, as well as French or German to at least KS3.

Candidates should be looking at this post as a career pathway.  We provide access and support to follow middle leadership programmes from the outset e.g. NPQML, as well as access to other high-quality CPD.

Dagenham Park is a mixed, multi-ethnic 11 - 18 Voluntary Controlled Church of England school. It is a very exciting place to be.  As a school we are committed to staff wellbeing and we offer a free gym membership as well as a weekly Yoga class to all of our staff.  The MFL department is housed in our main building which opened 8 years ago and has access to its own suite of computer rooms.

We currently had an Ofsted inspection on the 21st and 22nd January 2020 with the final report as a 'Good' School.

This post is suitable for both NQTs and experienced teachers.

As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all sections of the community, including persons with disabilities.

An application pack can be obtained from Natasha Trayler (PA to Head teacher) Dagenham Park Community School, School Road, Dagenham, RM10 9QH or email ntrayler@dagenhampark.org.uk
