Job Description

Waterfield Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Midday Meals Supervisor to join our team at Waterfield Primary School.

This role is 8.45 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only).

What does the role involve?

Midday Meals Supervisor’s role is to supervise pupils during the school’s lunchtime break. The extent of the supervision to be exercised includes the washing of hands, entry of pupils into dining room, general help during the service of the meals, assisting young pupils in cutting up food, general training in table manners and providing close supervision in the playground or classroom. Who are we looking for?

Your ability to encourage and supervise the smooth running of hot meals, packed lunches and the supervision of children at lunchtime play. Assistance in preparing and cleaning tables between sittings, encouragement in good table manners and behaviours during lunch and promotion of healthy eating. As a school, we feel it is important to hire for the right attitude which is why we look for Midday-Meal Supervisors who establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.

Waterfield Primary is a caring and diverse two-form entry school of approximately 370 pupils, set on a spacious and attractive site. We have a talented and highly committed team of staff, with a strong combination of experienced and newer colleagues.
