We are seeking to appoint a caring and confident individual who is keen to work with children during their lunchtime meal break. Lunchtime is an important part of the school day and the midday supervisor’s role is key to its success. We are seeking a person who understands how to manage pupils’ behaviour positively, is supportive and at the same time establishes the highest expectations for behaviour, so that our safe, happy and secure environment is maintained.

Our lunchtime is from 11.55 am to 1.10 pm.

The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced, knowledgeable and friendly team to:

  • Ensure the health and safety of children at lunchtimes.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Main responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Ensuring that the children are behaving appropriately in line with the school's behaviour policy at all times.
  • Engaging with the children and ensuring that they are active in purposeful and co-operative behaviour 
  •  throughout the lunchtime period.
  • In cases of risk eg a spillage in the hall, informing the appropriate person and taking action immediately to avoid possible accidents.
  • Ensuring that you are a strong, positive role model for the children and other staff.
