Hours/Contract: Part-time, Term-time, Permanent Position: 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

The Role: We are looking for caring and committed person to join our support staff at Hill View Primary, you’ll be working in a team of like-minded individuals who all want the best for the school. You’ll be supervising lunchtimes, ensuring the children are safe and sensible while eating and playing. Keeping and maintaining a clean and hygienic area while the children eat.

The Person: Experience of working in a childcare environment and being able to cope under pressure is essential. We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

• Treat pupil’s with dignity, building relationships with mutual respect

• Relevant experience of working with children, ability to motivate, using positive behaviour strategies

• Have the ability to work independently and use own initiative

• Be able to display effective communication skills with both children and adults

• Be eager to work collaboratively in a wider team, be adaptable and open to new ideas and practices

• Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld

• Able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a “can do” attitude.

• Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths
