Job overview

Easton Royal Academy is a small rural primary school (53 children on role), set in a lovely village, close to Marlborough, between Pewsey and Burbage. 

We require a permanent catering assistant to serve lunches, clear and clean the kitchen area once finished, and supervise children during lunchtime play. 

  • Hours; 8 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only) Monday to Friday 11.45am - 1.15pm (11.45am -1.30pm one day a week).
  • Salary £9.25 per hour, £17,842 full time equivalent, £3,225.69 actual salary including 5.6 weeks holiday pay.

The successful candidate will have a calm and positive manner with children and a can do attitude towards the job

Duties include: 

  •  Serving the children with pre-prepared hot and cold food  
  • Load and unload dishwasher and wash all utensils and equipment 
  • Tidy and clean up after serving lunch including cleaning all surfaces and moping the floor. 
  •  Supervise the children during lunchtime play

We are looking for someone who: · 

  • Is reliable, committed and enthusiastic in their approach 
  • Has a natural flair for working with primary school aged children 
  • Has an awareness of child protection policies and procedure
