We are passionate about providing high quality education for all pupils. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who is ready to commit to a key middle leader role. The successful candidate will join our dedicated leadership team to further develop our school through its next expansion phase.

We will offer the successful candidate encouragement and support to further develop their leadership skills and the opportunity to make that vital difference in shaping the educational provision our pupils. Key areas of responsibility include vocational lead and to drive forward the development of employability skills 14 - 19. The successful candidate will have expertise in leading on all aspects of learning and teaching of pupils with a range of needs including complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties.

The above position offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be part of Central England Academy Trust. Oak Wood Secondary School is part of a thriving three school Multi-Academy Trust and shares the same site with our sister school Oak Wood Primary School. Both schools are oversubscribed generic special schools. In addition, Oak Wood Secondary School manages the educational provision at Jade School within Brooklands NHS Hospital in Solihull. Also, part of the Trust is Higham Lane School which is a high-performing 11-18 Comprehensive School also located in Nuneaton. There is great scope for collaborative work across the Trust.

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 28th February 2023.  In addition to completing the application form candidates are asked to submit a letter of application of no more than one side of A4. The letter should:

1        Outline your skills and knowledge in relation to the areas outlined in the person specification.

2        Include a paragraph outlining how you would ensure that our most complex learners achieve their full potential
