Context: Heartlands Community Trust will be opening a new Free School for Autism in September 2017. The HHS autism provision currently has 30 students on role and is co-located with Heartlands High School. As part of the planning and preparation towards our exciting new school ahead we are seeking to appoint an ambitious middle leader who is planning to move into a senior leadership role over the next few years.

We require a visionary middle leader with outstanding professional skills to work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to help our students achieve outstanding outcomes. Successful candidates will have specialist knowledge of autism practice and a proven track record of successful teaching across key stages and meeting the national professional standards for teachers.

This exciting new role is for an ambitious and enthusiastic teacher who is looking to take a step into leadership. The role will provide an opportunity to establish, lead and develop key initiatives within our current autism provision and contribute significantly towards the development of our new Free School, The Grove. This role will suit someone who is passionate about working with young people with autism, can work flexibly, drive initiatives, is open to innovative practice and is motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference through contributing to the development of a brand new school.

In this role, you will be actively involved on a day to day basis with staff and students and have the opportunity to shape and develop innovative practice in the field of autism now, and moving forward. You will join an existing dynamic and committed team of professionals and be committed to inclusive practice and achieving the best outcomes for our young people.
