The College is seeking an engaging and effective educator with a focus on pedagogical practices and student learning outcomes to join our dedicated Academic Staff as a Middle Leader, commencing 30th August 2021 (or to be negotiated) until 3rd December 2021.

The successful applicant will be a well-qualified, successful practitioner in a combination of two or more teaching areas.

This is a tier 3 position. It is also a full-time, fixed term teaching appointment.

The successful candidate will possess refined communication and interpersonal skills and be able to drive a powerful, collaborative, focus on excellence in learning and teaching in partnership with the Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching, Insights Middle Leader Team and Heads of Faculty. The candidate will be able to confidently work with Academic Staff, Classroom-based School Officers and the College Leadership Team to ensure high expectations for the well-being, engagement, learning growth and achievement of each student. The role holder will be able to facilitate programs, processes and practices focused on developing MMC students as curious, creative, self-directed, and resilient learners to ensure MacKillop Women are people of purpose, achieving their potential.

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
