Middle Primary Teacher, Part Time - St Finbarr's, ASHGROVE

• hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and

St Finbarr’s Ashgrove is seeking a primary classroom teacher to work 3 days per week, as part of a Middle Primary teaching team. To be successful in this role you will be able to meet the following criteria: appropriate qualifications and experience, effective communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers, an ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices, and a clear understanding of the new Australian Curriculum. As this position requires classroom teaching of Religious Education, applicants must be Catholic.

St Finbarr's Catholic Primary School is located in the Brisbane suburb of Ashgrove and is an educational ministry of the Jubilee Catholic Parish. With an enrolment of just under 200 students, the school provides a broad and inclusive curriculum which not only promotes the basics but also offers opportunities for the diverse range of interests and abilities of our student body. Estimated Start Date:  Mid-May 2019

Employment Tenure:   Part Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):  Until the end of 2019 school year.

If Part Time, hours and/or days required: This part time position is a Maternity Leave contract and is for 18 hours per week.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
