Middle School Learning Support

Qualifications and experience working with special needs students is required.

Teacher applicants must have at least 2-3 years of previous teaching experience in a pertinent subject area/discipline, preferably at an international school. Teaching certification is required for all positions. Applicants must furnish evidence of:

  • A Master’s Degree (or equivalent certification) in Special Education and a valid special education teaching credential
  • Experience developing and implementing individualized educational programs, monitoring student progress, and the review and revision of IEPs, as appropriate
  • Experience with common educational and screening assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans
  • Confident with assistive technologies and 1:1 device programs
  • Experience collaborating with subject-based mainstream teachers
  • Experience conducting class observations and advising teachers on how to implement accommodations, scaffolding and alternate teaching strategies
  • Experience offering Professional Development to colleagues in the area of Learning Disabilities and Differentiation
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a middle school environment
