About the role
- Mapping out the year ahead for middle school sciences
- Developing and designing the grade 7 and grade 8 science curriculum
- Overseeing and developing the grade 9 IGCSE, Biology, Chemistry and Physics curriculum
- Overseeing the Chemistry and Physics Chinese Middle School Exam (Zhongkao)
- Ensuring AfL is set at the correct level and examinations are ready for the necessary examination dates which are in line with the school calendar
- Collecting data to effectively track pupil progress
- Ensuring that the labs are well stocked
About you
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Experience in managing others
- Delivered integrated science to grades 7 and 8
- Delivered the IGCSE Cambridge curriculum for at least one of the sciences
- Experience in developing KS3/IGCSE science curriculum
- An understanding of the Chinese Middle School Exam (Zhongkao)(preferred, not essential)
- A solid understanding in the health and safety required to deliver both KS3 and Cambridge IGCSE science

Opened in September 2018, Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science's mission is to educate well-rounded young men and women who will make a positive contribution to society. We support each pupil to reach his or her full potential through the foundation of three systems: academic, co-curricular and pastoral.
With capacity for over 3,000 students, the school is growing rapidly and will have around 2,000 enrolled from September 2021.
The campus consists of:
- A pre-school for pupils aged 3 to 6 years catering for Chinese and expatriate children and offering a bilingual programme based on EYFS, international and Chinese curricula.
- A bilingual elementary and junior high school for Chinese students in Grades 1 to 9 who undertake the mandatory Chinese curriculum delivered with a modern pedagogical approach and additional English language instruction.
- An international school for expatriate students from Grade 1 to Grade 10, offering a British-style curriculum leading to IGCSEs with additional Chinese language instruction
- A high school for Chinese and expatriate students, providing a wide range of IGCSE and A Level courses. The IB Diploma Programme will be implemented from September 2021.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include a large multi-purpose sports hall, a 50 metre indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, playing fields, 400m running track, well-equipped laboratories, art rooms, drama studios, performing arts auditorium with capacity for 800 people and extensive boarding facilities. A river runs alongside the campus and a boat house has been incorporated into the campus design.
Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science is a partnership project between Dipont Education, King’s College School, Wimbledon, and Nanjing Foreign Language School (Nanwai).
King’s College School, Wimbledon is an independent day school for boys aged 7-18 and girls aged 16-18 in Wimbledon, SW London.
