Langley Hall Primary Academy (LHPA) is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Mini Bus Driver to join our team on a temporary basis. Overtime opportunities available

Must have: Licence to drive 17 seat mini bus and be responsible for general maintenance & cleaning of vehicle.

Hours of work: Monday & Tuesday 07.00 - 08.45 and 11.00 - 12.30 and 14.30 - 17.30 Wednesday to Friday 07.00 - 08.45 and 11.00 - 17.30. 37.25 hrs a week across 36 weeks per year, with 4 weeks paid holiday. (Term time only)

Salary - £15,651

Role & Responsibilities

1) Driving duties, driving mini bus for transportation of children from home to school in the

mornings and from school to home in the afternoon.

2) To ensure the safety of all children, young people and vulnerable adults within the school. To

complete the annual Safeguarding training and understand and comply with all Safeguarding

policies and practices.

3) Driving duties, driving mini bus for transportation of children to and from swimming lessons,

and assisting with driving for cover for others when required.

4) To drive children between sites as required (shuttle service)

5) To drive children to Harrow Hall or for sports fixtures or to local venues as required.

6) To attend Health & Safety training, a Safeguarding course, and update skills and knowledge

regularly.

7) Carry out driver’s daily and weekly vehicle checks, and to carry out basic maintenance and

adopt procedures for cleaning and maintaining the mini bus.

8) To carry out weekly checks of the mini bus to ensure that it is roadworthy, safe and clean and

presentable to ensure that the school image is maintained.

9) To refuel vehicle as required, take the mini bus for servicing and annual MoT test when

required.

10) Report any vehicle defects, faults, incidents and accidents

11) Be responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles, inside and out and ensuring the vehicle is in a

clean and roadworthy condition before and after use.

12) To access the school intranet on a daily basis, keeping up to date with policy and procedure

13) Any others duties as directed by the Transport Manager and Heads of Schools.
