Do you have a D1 Driving License?  Are you looking for a great part-time opportunity in the Dartford area?  Dartford Primary Academy has a vacancy for a Minibus Driver to work 7.00am - 9.00am Monday to Friday plus 1 extra hour per week for cleaning. The appointed candidate will be will be responsible for supporting the academy with school runs, transporting students and very occasional school trips.  A flexible approach to this key role is essential - plus a friendly and personable demeanour! 

The working basis totals 11 hours per week during Term Time with an actual salary of £4,261 per annum (full time equivalent salary £17,410).  

All applicants MUST have a D1 Driving Licence and preference will be given to drivers who already have Kent County Council Approved Minibus Driver status. If you are not KCC approved then successful candidates will have to take the 1-day minibus driving course to gain this accreditation.

Suitable candidates must:

•    Hold a valid Driving Licence with Cat D1 and acceptable driving record with no more than 6 points on drivers licence
•    Undertake periodic Certificate of Professional Competence MIDAS training as required
•    Have the ability to react calmly in emergency situations and be considerate
•    Be at least 25 years of age
•    Have or be prepared to take a suitable First Aid qualification

Duties will include the following:

•    Transport of students for school runs and trips
•    Carry out daily and weekly vehicle maintenance checks on the minibus.
•    Maintaining good customer relations with parents and the school and contribute to a good atmosphere on the minibus
