Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Under the management of the Deputy Director of MIS:
• To provide operational management of MIS, not including examinations, but working alongside the examinations team to ensure seamless services to students and staff
• In conjunction with the MIS Registrar to lead on Funding methodologies, impact analysis and assurance including support for planning assumptions and intelligence from external funding bodies
• To support the operational corporate planning activities
• Supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of cross-college processes to ensure that planning submissions and external data returns meet internal and external quality expectations and outcomes of plans are effectively measured, monitored and reported.
• Ensure both internal and external returns deadlines are met and data requirements adhere to data requirement standards for audit, inspection and all external funding agency requirements
• Ensure a full and current knowledge of the funding methodology for all of the funding agencies and be responsible for appropriate briefings across the college.
• Supporting the liaison with external bodies in relation to information or funding requirements, including but not limited to the ESFA, WMCA, OfS/HESA and awarding bodies.
• Support the development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate service standards and ensure compliance with both legal requirements and the demands of best practice across areas of responsibility
• Supporting and coaching and development team members to contribute to the wider objectives of the college ensuring that all staff have an appropriate understanding of funding rules.
• To support the development and maintenance of relevant documentation that support data transparency through systems documentation approach that will ensure that Colleges data will be understood and interpreted by any user
• Undertaking any duties commensurate with the post
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Complying with internal and external quality standards and contributing to the College’s strategic aims
• Complying with and putting into operation college and division policies and procedures and health and safety regulations
• Supporting the protection and promotion of both staff and student welfare, particularly with regards to upholding the College’s Equal Opportunities policy
