June 2021 start

Fixed term Contract, Full Time

Inspire their remarkable with us

Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) is a national family of schools committed to delivering an excellent education that launches all the children in their care into a remarkable life.

The Technology function is newly formed and recognises the huge upsurge in use of and reliance in technology over the past 12 months. It sees the bringing together of digital, data and IT teams to deliver world class class services that underpin the Trust’s vision.

Sitting within this function, the Business Intelligence team provides critical data oriented services that underpin the operations of the Trust, this criticality is only increasing. The team manages the Trust's Data Lake, supporting the Trust’s appetite for insights, and provides advice on the use of our Management Information System (MIS), assessment tracking software and data management legislation.

It is within this team that we are looking to appoint a project manager to project manage the upcoming MIS tender, and should this lead to a change in MIS Provider, go on to project manage the resulting implementation of a new MIS too. The MIS is critical to the Technology and wider AET strategy, because it will underpin much of what we want to achieve with data and insights. Managing a structured, transparent and considered project is critical to the overall Trust’s success.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

Experience as a Project Manager and thinker who is able to see the big picture and to lead, coordinate and develop others.

Outstanding leadership and project management skills, and good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects.

Capable of solving complex problems, whilst maintaining the creativity to generate flexible solutions in a fast paced environment.

Taking part in scheduling and chairing internal bid and implementation related meetings as well as maintaining a constant view of risks, issues and actions related to the bid.

We passionately believe that every child can discover their own remarkable life. It’s what motivates us around here. We know this vision requires something extra. Which is why at AET, you’ll find more. More opportunities, so you can forge your own path. More care and support, so you can prioritise what matters most. More purpose, for you and for the children we’re inspiring.

We offer:

  • More influence - As a Trust with 58 schools, the work of our support team directly influences the lives of tens of thousands of children.
  • More connection - A chance to experience what’s happening within our diverse academies.
  • More technology so you can make more impact - G Suite for Education embedded throughout. Collaborative cloud technology gives you access to the latest tools, when and where it suits you. More tech enabled classrooms mean less time spent on admin.
  • More ambitious, professional and passionate colleagues - All focused on delivering remarkable lives.

This is a fixed term contract until May 2022 and is due to commence as soon as possible.

Closing date: Tuesday 25th May 2021

Interviews will take place shortly after the closing date.
