MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGES - KS4 CO-ORDINATOR

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional professional to join our MFL team as KS4 co-ordinator. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of good and outstanding teaching. The ability to teach French and Spanish to KS4 is essential and KS5 French experience is desirable. The KS4 co-ordinator is an integral role in driving forward the KS4 MFL team and enabling all students at KS4 to achieve their full potential in MFL.
You will be passionate about MFL and the current developments within the subject, having working knowledge of the new GCSE and will be able to plan and deliver interesting and stimulating lessons whilst setting a level of challenge for all abilities.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Curriculum Team Leader and will have the overview of KS4 students, which includes being accountable for:
- Implementing and developing the KS4 Schemes of Learning in French and Spanish, and tailoring accessments to suit the needs of all students
- Monitoring and tracking of individual KS4 students' academic progress, and leading on relevant intervention to ensure all students achieve their potential
- Supporting the CTL in setting a culture of high aspirations and promoting the school's vision
- Supporting the CTL in QA procedures, including appraisal reviews and observations
Previous experience of working as a Head of Key Stage is desirable although not essential.
