8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year
Practical, resourceful and able to work well on your own initiative, you’re a highly skilled Carpenter who takes pride in a job well done. You’re a friendly and helpful individual with excellent communication skills too. So bring your talents to Woldingham School - and be part of our welcoming and supportive team.
Taking responsibility for all carpentry across the school, you’ll carry out a full range of repairs and maintenance tasks, as well as work on new projects like fitting kitchens and classrooms. There will also be other general maintenance duties, so you will certainly be kept busy here!
Ideally qualified to City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent, your experience should include 1st and 2nd fix. The proven ability to fit kitchens or similar is a must too, along with a ‘right first time’ approach and a full driving licence. You will need to provide your own hand tools and drill.
Close to London yet in an outstandingly beautiful rural setting, Woldingham is a happy and successful Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. This is a truly unique school with an equally unique culture and philosophy. Building on a proud heritage that stretches back 175 years, we’re now driving an exciting future that’s underpinned by fresh ideas, an innovative spirit and state-of-the-art facilities – all alive with the creative energy of over 500 young minds.
Staff are welcome to use our range of outstanding facilities including the gym, squash and tennis courts and the swimming pool. Our Staffroom Committee organises regular social events, and individual members of staff have even organised yoga classes and reflexology on site. All staff also receive free lunches and coffee.
