Job overview
Trevor-Roberts School is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic music assistant to support the Music Department. We are looking for someone who is an excellent musician and pianist to provide musical and administrative assistance to the Director of Music and to support the delivery of the music curriculum across the school. This position would suit a recent graduate or someone thinking of going into teaching.
Trevor-Roberts is a Prep school in Hampstead for children aged 4 to 13, and music plays a central role in the day-to-day life of the school. The school’s three choirs regularly perform both in and out of school, and the Senior Choir will be touring Tuscany in March 2023. There are also a wide range of instrumental groups and a strong team of peripatetic staff, with over two-thirds of children learning a musical instrument. Each class puts on a musical production twice a year.
The position offers a salary of £22,000, reviewed in August, and 13 weeks paid holiday. The successful candidate would ideally start in April, but by September 2023 at the latest.
Trevor-Roberts is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers, and enhanced clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
