The contemporary, learning-driven school is located in the South Loop area of Chicago, serving both American and international families and is seeking two music teachers to join what is a very enthusiastic staff where music is considered as a very important subject in all student’s development throughout the school from age 3 to age 18.

Person Specification           

You will join a very well established department where the students are very enthusiastic musicians. Students enjoy music on their timetable, as well as before school and after school from the Early Years to Year 11 with opportunities for students who are also in Year 12 and Year 13. All students from Year 4 onwards choose, and are loaned, either a violin, a trumpet or a wind instrument. The ability to offer more than one of these instruments would be an advantage.

You will be able to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. Your qualifications will include a degree in music, a teaching qualification and successful completion of your NQT year.

The successful applicants will be enthusiastic music teacher’s ready to give of their time freely, and eager to prepare the students for performances and competitions.
