Are you passionate about inspiring young musicians and fostering a love for music? Join our team as an exemplary Music Teacher! In this role, you will demonstrate effective planning, teaching, and organization while upholding high standards of achievement and behaviour in lessons.

Develop and review the school's music curriculum and related schemes of work to ensure excellence in musical education. Follow school assessment, recording, and reporting procedures to monitor student progress effectively. Liaise with external providers and facilitate connections with visiting specialists and the community to enrich the musical learning experience. Share best practices within and beyond the music department to enhance teaching quality. Promote cultural entitlement through a variety of enrichment activities during and after the school day. Utilize student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities. Communicate the school’s narrative and act as an ambassador for our school at all times. Prepare and assist with school performances, concerts, and musical elements of school assemblies. Commit to the Co-curricular Activities (CCA) program of the school.

Identify clear teaching objectives, content, structures, and sequences of music lessons tailored to students' educational needs. Set appropriate, yet demanding expectations for student learning, fostering progression within music lessons and over sequences of lessons. Ensure planning demonstrates a clear understanding of year group expectations and leads to meaningful musical progression. Utilise student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice.

Ensure all children make the best possible progress in their learning and can demonstrate, apply, and transfer learning in relevant contexts. Cultivate positive attitudes, enthusiasm, and high levels of motivation among all students throughout lessons. Encourage independent and collaborative work while fostering confidence in performance skills. Conduct assessments that allow students to confidently discuss their achievements and learning outcomes in music. Foster a love for music and enhance students' enjoyment of musical experiences.
