Essendene Lodge School is looking for a passionate, experienced and driven part time Music Teacher.

Essendene Lodge School, based in Caterham, Surrey is a small one form entry school where every pupils is nurtured and thrives. 

We are looking for a music teacher who will be able to deliver weekly music lessons to all year groups from reception to year 6. Our music teacher will also be responsible for whole school singing and preparing pupils for singing assembly times and various performances during the school year. You will also be working closely with the Head of Drama for nativity and key stage productions.

As our music teacher you will have the thirst and vision to grow and enhance our musical provision, harnessing the talents of all our pupils and giving them opportunities to both perform and enjoy music of all genres within school and in local festivals. 

Music at Essendene Lodge is taught in our hall where you will have access to a Piano and various percussion instruments. Our current music teacher offers ukulele lessons, this would be desirable for our new teacher but not essential as we would welcome any specialism.

The position is to work 2 days a week, Monday and Thursday. Monday 8.30-2.30pm and
Thursday 8.30-4.30pm.  There is an opportunity to offer private instrumental lessons such as piano.
