Music Teacher - Primary & Middle School

Located in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands, our small, friendly school invites applicants for the position of Primary & Middle School Music Teacher.

Providenciales Primary & Middle School is an independent community school in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Our Primary School has operated on Providenciales for over 30 years, with our Middle School opening five years ago. Our vision for education stems from an ambition for all students to experience a truly hands on and creative approach to learning. We aim for students to drive their own learning by providing opportunities for student choice, exploration and investigation. We offer an adapted UK curriculum that is reflective of our setting in both the Caribbean and the world.

Required from September 2023, Providenciales Primary & Middle School is looking to appoint a committed and inspiring teacher to join our excellent teaching team. We would be particularly interested to learn about your experience of:

·        Teaching of Music across the Primary and Middle School age ranges (in any of the following phases; Early Years, Years 1-9).

·        Delivering a range of Music experiences for students in line with the UK National Curriculum.

·        We would be interested to hear of any additional experience/subject specialisms that could benefit the school more broadly across our three phases; Early Years, Primary or Middle School.

You will need to:

·        be an excellent and motivated classroom practitioner, focused on engaging and inspiring a love of learning;

·        commit to working as a team member as part of our all-through provision that covers Early Years to Key Stage 3;

·        hold QTS and have a minimum of two years’ experience;

·        be an effective communicator with staff and parents;

·        be a resourceful and innovative practitioner, able to tailor learning to the needs of your pupils.
