Oaklands is an excellent special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. 

This is an exciting time for Oaklands School which is expanding rapidly. We are currently seeking to appoint a part time teacher on a 0.6 FTE contract to teach music to our students.  If you are willing to teach other subjects in addition to music, a full time contract could be considered. 

Oaklands School is moving into a new building in September 2018. Our new building includes fantastic facilities for delivering the music curriculum including a recording studio and performance space. 

We are  looking for a highly skilled music teacher with the skills and ambition to develop our music curriculum so that our new facilities are fully utilised so that our students can reach their potential to perform and enjoy music.

Can you make a difference to children and young people’s lives?  We have opportunities for people who wish to develop a career working with students with learning disabilities.

Oaklands secondary school moved to its current location in 2018 and boasts excellent facilities to provide a secondary and preparing for adulthood curriculum. Facilities include a sports centre, which is hired during evenings and weekends and outside term time under a planning condition.

Oaklands holds both an Ofsted Outstanding grade and also an advanced level accreditation from the National Autistic Society.
