Music Teacher

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, well qualified and experienced teachers. Leadership responsibility may also be available for this post. If you are interested in a leadership role please state what experience and skills you have in this area. 

You will need knowledge and experience of teaching Music, preferably across a number of Key Stages. The candidate must also have a desire and passion for working in an outstanding international learning environment. It would be advantageous if you had experience of working with and leading outside music professionals to enhance the curriculum for students.

Music is a universal language that can engage and inspire pupils and therefore has a central place in the BSY curriculum. Throughout the year, an exciting schedule of concerts and musical workshops provides pupils with the opportunities to showcase their work and talent, both in the school and in the wider community. BSY offers an extensive music programme that allows students the opportunity to perform in ensembles and sing in a choirs. For those interested in taking their musical talents further, we offer individual music lessons for a range of instruments.

Music sits within the Creative Arts who work exceptionally well together as a small, talented and dedicated team. The team are responsible for producing a series of high quality events. Most recently they have produced an exceptional production of Little Shop of Horrors. 

The Music Department is well regarded within the school and within the city and is very well supported and resourced.
