Permanent, part-time 2-3 days a week as agreed (15-22.5 hours a week)


We seek to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and inspirational Music Technician/TA with a specialism in Music Technology to join our very successful faculty. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of assisting in the planning and delivery of the Performing Arts curriculum and the facilitation of our extra-curricular programme. This position is ideal for any individual considering pursuing a career in teaching or a graduate with Music Technology/Engineering skills.


Daily tasks will include

  • Assisting with the delivery of the Music Curriculum
  • Administration and organisation of peripatetic music lessons
  • Technology support in our Music Mac Suite and Recording Studio
  • Preparation of tech materials for music lessons
  • Support in the management on KS4 coursework on Logic Pro X
  • Fulfilment of other tasks, as required and directed by senior members of the Performing Arts Faculty
  • Contribution to wider school activities as required, including running of extra-curricular clubs

This year, Music GCSE students achieved 71% 9-4 at GCSE – a 33% improvement from the last external examination in 2019, so the department is constantly growing and improving, and is a wonderful environment to be a part of. In 2017 Ofsted reported that we are a Good school where an “inclusive approach and attention to pupils’ welfare run through all aspects of the school. With support from the senior leadership team, you have ensured that the school continues to be a positive learning environment where pupils are well cared for”. In the Section 48 Inspection (March 2018), the headline was St Paul’s is an outstanding school.
