Are you a musician looking for flexible role in a successful secondary school?

We are recruiting a Piano / Keyboard Tutor to join our Music School to teach students and the wider community. We currently need a piano / keyboard teacher but also will accept applications from candidates who can teach other instruments for future opportunities.

You will have significant music ability and experience with capability of teaching to Grade 6 - confident teaching theory and practical.

New Rickstones Academy is graded ‘Good’ (May 2018) and has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff.  Over the last 6 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers, with number of students on roll more than doubling. The academy is now oversubscribed and we have an existing new build in progress to further increase student numbers to meet demand. New Rickstones Academy is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive staff team. Staff numbers have also increased and the academy is proud to boast high staff retention rates. 

This position is on a casual basis - hours are weekday afternoons from 3pm and there are usually 10 sessions within a term per student. The position is due to start in April.

About New Rickstones Academy

New Rickstones Academy is a secondary school based in Witham.  This is an exciting time to join New Rickstones Academy as we continue to expand. Over the last 8 years, student numbers have more than doubled, leading to oversubscription and the addition of a new building in September 2022 to accommodate the growing demand.
