Hours: 11 Hours Per Week (1.5 Days), Term Time Only + 5 Days

Subject to a 6-Month Probationary Period

Ryecroft Academy is looking for an inspirational part-time Music Tutor to join our caring, friendly, dynamic and inspiring school.

This new role will give the postholder a unique opportunity to work with children who are enthusiastic to learn and with colleagues devoted to augmenting the lives of the pupils who study here. We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is passionate about music and is able to excel in delivering the national curriculum across all primary key stages; 
  • Is highly competent in delivering both choral and instrumental tuition; 
  • Has the ability to deliver excellent music focused continued professional development to develop other colleagues; 
  • Can strengthen and enhance curriculum planning ensuring clear progression of musicianship knowledge and skills; 
  • Has high expectations of themselves, their colleagues and the children they teach; 
  • Is well organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team; and 
  • Is able to demonstrate very good interpersonal and communication skills.

It would be desirable for this colleague to contribute to our excellent extra-curricular program and lead a choir with passion and in a manner that compliments and enhances our academy ethos.  We would be eager to explore the potential of further peripatetic teaching also.
