Applications are invited for the contract of a Music Vocal Tutor at St Thomas More College. Please note: this vacancy is a contractor position, ABN and own insurances are required. The primary role of the Music Tutor is to teach secondary students voice. Experience in preparing students for AMEB grades is an advantage, and in addition, competence in piano skills would be beneficial. The successful applicant will be required to work one and a half days each week and will be required to manage two College choirs after school. Terms are based on an 8-week program.

To be successful in this role you will:
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
- currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
Estimated Start Date: Commencing April 2020
Position Tenure: Casual
Weeks Worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)
Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):
Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: Casual 1.5 days per week. 6 hours day 1 and 3 hours day 2.
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: $64.00 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
