MYP & DP Mathematics Teacher

Brookes Moscow and Saint Petersburg have entered an exciting new year of growth, following the successful opening of both schools in 2018/19. As a result, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful Upper School Team. Due to an increase in enrolment, our school will be moving to two form entry, and up to and including Year 11. Our first cohort of current Year 10 students will be preparing for their MYP examinations in May 2020. We expect the pattern of growth to extend into the Diploma Programme in September 2020.

Brookes Moscow is a candidate school for the IB programmes of PYP, MYP and DP. It is expected to reach accreditation by the end of the coming academic year and become a full IB World School. The school is also seeking membership from the Council of International Schools. 

The school is growing fast and resides in one of the most stunning areas of central Moscow, the Botanical Gardens. With a large-scale development surrounding the school, and a growing infrastructure of business centres, hotels and shopping malls, the school is centrally placed to attract further students to maximise capacity at 790. Brookes Moscow is expected to become the first IB World School in Moscow to offer International and local Boarding for its students. 

The school in Moscow boasts the finest and most modern of facilities, completed in 2018, and which includes: 2 swimming pools, 3 indoor sports halls, DT and Art suites, Performing Arts hall, rooftop football pitch, spacious classrooms and 3 large science laboratories. 

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Qualified with a relevant degree and PGCE or BEd with QTS, or equivalent

• A passion for teaching and a commitment to educating the whole child

• A high level of professionalism

• Qualified to teach Mathematics to Year 13

Desirable:

• The ability to offer general sciences as well, might be advantageous

• Experience of teaching the IB

• Knowledge of working with EAL students

• International School experience
