The Derby College National Apprenticeship Team takes a symbiotic approach to apprenticeship provision, it collaboratively works to create an environment that balances the student journey alongside the multiple measurable impacts to the business. All National programmes are individually enhanced to create a platform of learning which will allow the apprentice to add greater value to their employer.   


We have high ambition for what we want to achieve with learner and employers in this vital sector and are currently seeking to recruit Tutor/Assessors to work on National Apprenticeship Contracts to help us reach our ambitious plans.   


About You If you have a passion for engineering, experience of delivering for Performing Manufacturing Operations and are relentless in your pursuit of quality, then we want to hear from you.   


In addition to this you will have; 

• Level 2 Certificate in Engineering. 

• Experience in the assessment of NVQ qualifications PMO Level 2 &/or PEO2. 

• Certificate in Education/PGCE/Professional Diploma in Teaching or willing to work towards. 

• A1 / TAQA Assessors qualification 

• Level 2 English. 

• Level 2 Maths.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.   

Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
